The hum and buzz of the 2019 Cariboo Rocks the North Music Festival was still reverberating around Prince George when the announcement came that Northern BC’s biggest summer party at Exhibition Park will be back for a third year in 2020. How’s that for success?
This year’s event was sponsored by the CN Centre and Pacific Western Brewing and drew more than 8,000 rock fans.
PWB’s Kyle Sampson says: “This amazing August weekend was one that will not be forgotten by anyone who came out to the show. A tremendous lineup, great weather, and an awesome Northern BC crowd. An event of this magnitude wouldn’t be possible without a small army behind it. From our event management team, to our staff, suppliers, contractors, the artists and the patrons – thank you for making Cariboo Rocks the North Northern BC’s biggest summer party – we can’t wait to be back for a third year at Exhibition Park in 2020.”
This year’s lineup included Lee Aaron, Streetheart, Trooper, Doug & The Slugs, Sass Jordan, Chilliwack, Glass Tiger, Carole Pope & Rough Trade, The Romantics and Loverboy.
Weekend Passes for the August 7th to 9th 2020 festival are on sale now at TicketsNorth.ca.
Cariboo Rocks 2019 capped a great summer of fun that started in June when the Rotary Club of Prince George – Nechako teamed up with PWB to host Prince
George’s first ever Ribfest. The three-day event attracted 10,000 guests and featured award winning Ribbers from across Canada who served up Grade-A barbecue supplemented by a slew of entertainment, additional food vendors, and cool refreshing beverages from Prince George’s Local Brewery.
PWB is hoping you’ll enjoy this summer even more with the brewery’s expanded lineup of vodka coolers – Blood Orange, Lemon Lime, Raspberry and Grapefruit – and its repackaged Scandal Organic Lager and Ale, now featured in cans.
PWB’s Pacific Cool brings new meaning to the word “relax.” Flavoured as lightly as the summer breeze, the Pacific Cool refreshments offer a crisp, clean vodka soda with an essence of flavour. Fueled with only 100 calories, these sodas will be a welcome addition to any summer activity.
Now in cans, Scandal Organic Lager and Ale are exceptionally pure, certified organic beers that are brewed with the world’s finest organic pale malts, organic Bavarian hops and, of course, our own naturally pure spring water. Scandal Lager, from the nose in, has an inviting flavour and a clean, refreshing taste. Scandal Ale’s malty aroma is tempered with a touch of caramel that adds sweetness.
